The Department of Sanskrit started in 1986. The Department of Sanskrit imparts higher education on Sanskrit prose, poetry, and grammar. The Sanskrit Department provides a deep understanding of Sanskrit knowledge and also provides ample study materials.  Two lecturers are available in the department.

Vision: -The vision of the departments is to focus on interdisciplinary areas of Sanskrit. To encourage the students to lead a successful and fearless life.

Mission: – To be a center of excellence for training Sanskrit, to propagate Sanskrit literature and cultural values, to promote traditional knowledge, and to show their relevance to contemporary society.
